Ancestral Arts

Reconnect with your ancestors through art and ceremony

A guided collection of ancestral art ceremonies to help you explore your roots, honor your lineage, reconnect with ancestral wisdom, and create new pathways of healing, belonging, and creative power.

How do you connect with your ancestors?

Do you have rituals, stories, places, songs, or seasonal traditions that help you remember those who came before you?

For many of us in the modern West, the connection to our ancestral traditions has been interrupted. We have lost many of the ceremonies and practices that once helped people honor their ancestors and stay rooted in their lineage.

Ancestral Arts offers a creative way to begin again.

You are invited to create your own personal ancestral practice with guided ceremony, visualization, and Intuitive Neuro Art™ processes that offer inspiration and a safe creative space for exploration.

The art-making process itself becomes an offering - a way to honor your ancestors, trace the invisible threads between you, and open a new relationship with the wisdom that lives in your roots.

This is a space to remember, reconnect, and create new ceremonies from within.

You are the channel through which ancestral wisdom can return.

In Ancestral Arts, the drawing is not just an illustration of what you already know.

The drawing becomes the place where a new relationship to your ancestry unfolds.

Lines become threads of connection.
Circles become ancestors.

Colors become offerings.
A portrait becomes a doorways.

The visual patterns you create can reveal insights beyond intellectual understanding.

Each session is held as an Ancestral Art Ceremony, combining guided meditation, visualization, drawing, reflection, and integration.

You are invited to move at your own pace, listen to your body, and honor your own boundaries throughout the process.

Ancestral Mandala

Honoring seven generations before you

The Ancestral Mandala is a profound visual practice for connecting with the seven generations that came before you. Each ancestor is given a place in the drawing so that the image becomes a living field of connection. It will show you that your life is held within a vast web of people, stories, relationships, and choices.

This process can bring awe, grief, gratitude, insight, and a deeper awareness of how much had to happen for you to be here.

You do not need to know the names of your ancestors. The drawing works with the energetic and symbolic field of ancestry, allowing connection to emerge through shape, line, color, and intuition.

Ancestral Lineages

Exploring the four main ancestral lines

In this ceremony, we work with four primary ancestral lines: the mother’s mother line, the mother’s father line, the father’s mother line, and the father’s father line.

These lines can reveal different qualities, patterns, strengths, wounds, and imbalances within the ancestral field.

Through drawing, we explore how these lineages live inside you and how they may influence your relationship with feminine and masculine energy, belonging, protection, expression, and inner balance.

The intention is to bring awareness, harmony, and new relationship to what you carry.

Ancestral Portrait

Creating an intimate connection with one ancestor

This is one of the most personal and tender processes in the Ancestral Arts journey.

Using a photograph of an ancestor who has passed, you will create a layered intuitive portrait. You are invited to connect with this person in a new way - not only through memory or family story, but through your own inner creative experience.

This process can become a way to honor, remember, grieve, forgive, understand, or simply sit with the presence of one ancestor and the part of them that lives on in you.

Mother Lineage

A deep dive into your feminine wisdom lineage.

In this session, we explore the ancestral mother line as a living thread that moves through generations. We all came into this world through our mother's body and we all carry the experiences of our feminine ancestors deep inside us.

As women, it is especially important to connect with our mother's lineage and heal any traumatic ancestral memories or painful patterns that we may have received.

We can access immense creative feminine energy when we clear these ancestral imprints.

The intention is to honor what has been carried, and reconnect with the nourishment, resilience, and creative life-force that can move through this line.

Medicine Keeper Series

Reclaiming the medicine of your ancestral lineage

This sequence of 4 sessions is a special Ancestral Arts series dedicated to reconnecting with the medicine keepers of your lineage.

Each of us comes into this life with a unique medicine - a gift, frequency, mission, or creative essence that we are here to embody and bring into the world. This medicine is connected to the long line of life behind us: the ancestors, the earth, the elements, the stories, the wounds, the gifts, and the wisdom carried through our lineages.

In this series, we explore different pathways into your inherent ancestral medicine.

The sessions are designed to help you receive insight into what your medicine is, how it wants to be expressed, and how you can bring it into the world with more clarity, confidence, and ancestral support.

Connecting to the Earth Mother

This opening journey invites you to reconnect with the Earth as ancestor, as mother, and a living field of belonging.

We explore your relationship with the land, the body, the elements, and the wider web of life. This session creates grounding for the deeper ancestral work by helping you remember that you are not separate from the Earth - you are part of her.

How Are You Rooted?

Exploring the roots that hold, nourish, and shape you

Before we enter the deeper layers of blood ancestry, this is an invitation to begin by exploring your roots in a wider sense.

What gives you strength?
What helps you feel connected?
Where do you belong?
What roots need tending, healing, or nourishment?

In this introductory process, you will create a visual map of the roots that support your life.

Why explore this creative path?

Because ancestral connection is not only about the past.

It shapes how we live now.

When we begin to reconnect with our roots, we begin to understand ourselves differently. We may see inherited patterns with more compassion. We may feel less alone. We may discover strength where we expected only pain. We may begin to create new traditions from the places where old ones were lost.

And when we do it with art, we do not have to figure it all out with the mind.

We can let the hand move.
We can let the image speak.
We can let the ancestors meet us through symbol, color, memory, and intuition.

This is a journey of remembrance, repair, creativity, and belonging.

The art-making itself becomes the offering.

You honor the ancestors through your creative energy, and in return, you open yourself to guidance, connection, and remembrance.

A few words about Ceremony and Safety:

First, it is important to acknowledge that ancestral work can touch tender places.

You may encounter grief, longing, anger, shame, or unresolved family patterns. You are always invited to move at your own pace, stay connected to your body, and choose how deeply you want to enter each process.

This is a creative and spiritual self-exploration practice. It is not therapy, and it is not a replacement for mental health care or professional support. Please honor your own capacity and seek additional support if you are working with intense trauma or overwhelming family history.

Before we begin with each of the drawing processes, I guide you through an ancestral ceremony and deep meditation. This ceremony serves to create a safe and protected space for your journey. We will ask for permission from your ancestors and invite guidance for your individual process. You are invited to create the physical, emotional, and mental space for this ceremony.

Your may for example cleanse and decorate the physical space around you, create an altar, bring offerings for your ancestors, or prepare yourself in any other way you feel called. Trusting your inner guidance in this process will be the first step to take.

At the end, we close the ceremony, to ground the energy and bring the creative process to completion.

Your GUIDE

Hi, I'm Antje

I am an artist, creative guide, and the creator of Intuitive Neuro Art™.

My Ancestral Arts work began in 2020 after the passing of my beloved grandmother Ina. Because I lived far away and could not travel home for her funeral, I turned to art as a way to grieve, honor her, and stay connected.

What began as a personal act of remembrance slowly became a body of work: guided ancestral art ceremonies that combine drawing, meditation, visualization, embodiment, and ritual space.

This work is close to my heart because I know how much creativity can help us enter places that words alone cannot reach. Through art, we can honor the past, listen to what lives inside us, and begin to create new patterns for those who come after us.

What Participants Say.

Over the past years, many people have explored this program and the transformation it can bring. Here are some experiences of previous participants.

The Ancestral Arts course was the greatest gift in my neurographic journey so far.

Most of all I loved the portraits, which are an intimate way of being with an ancestor, honoring and thanking them for being a part of me.

The way Antje makes it a ceremony instead of only a class, creates the perfect environment for getting to know your ancestors (and thus yourself) more.

KITTY

Ancestral Arts was a spiritual gift. It put me in touch with patterns of being and doing that were holding me back in my spiritual growth. I found myself better able to see and address the patterns that I was engaged in that I had inherited and were not serving me.

It was an exercise in expansion into a much larger view of myself as part of the whole.

It added to my sense of myself as part of the continuum of time and humanity.

TERRY

I joined the ancestral art series, which supported my healing journey in regards of my dads death in great ways. It kind of softened the rough edges and soothed my heart. Now I honestly can say that I feel more in peace with the situation.

Antje showed up in a very caring and gentle way during the workshop - like holding your hand whenever there is need for it. A very big and hearty thank you
